Bathroom Rehab: Decals?

The new vanity in my bathroom is practical but looks rather bland.

I tried adding some decals.

What do you think?

    1. :D I've seen on Pinterest several chests of drawers painted with birds... this seemed like an appropriately spooky version of that.

  2. Much better! You can also do them on the wall and put a rug down to goth the place more. And never underestimate the power of a shower curtain!

    1. Yes, I think the shower curtain is going to have a huge impact. I ordered one, and I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival.

    1. I think the style of the room may end up more cute than elegant... but that's okay. :)

Where did you get that soap dispenser? It's sooo cute!

    1. Thanks! The soap dispenser is one of my favorite things. :) It used to have white painted eyes and fangs, but the paint eventually wore off. I've had it for several years. I can't remember where I got it (Target maybe?).

  6. I love it. It looks gothy, but understated and classy. I might do something similar...I steal a lot of your looks. Hope you don't mind.

  7. Those are adorable! A plain vanity is not a bad thing, it was probably cheaper and you can customize it any way you want. Besides, yours looks gothier than, say, an entirely black one.

    1. Thanks! It was definitely cheaper than a fancier vanity. (It's insane how expensive vanities are!) And I do like to customize things.

  9. I love the decals! You know I had been looking for ideas of what to do with my bland bathrooms and stumbled across your blog. Well, actually, re-discovered is more like it. I used to follow your blog years ago, but lost the URL when Google Reader went down.

I'm very happy to have found your blog again, as I am looking to completely re-do my whole house, and I am looking for some dark inspiration! Also, I'm sorry to hear that you had to have surgery, but am glad to see that you came out ok! :)

Looking forward to new posts and ideas! :D

    1. :) They were a good find. Oddly enough, I just bought them a few weeks ago. Usually I have things sitting around the house for months before I decided where to use them.

    1. Thanks! They are fascinating birds. I had a pair of crows nest in my tree this summer.
